Alma Jean Grimes

Mrs Alma Jean Grimes of Colquitt died Sunday, December 17, 2023 at Bainbridge Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Thompson Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Bobby Whittaker and Rev. Larry Powell officiating. Interment to follow at Thompson Cemetery with Max Grimes, Jeff Cox, Johnny Miller, Tate Bryan, Johnny Green Miller and Mike Newsome serving as active pallbearers. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 19, 2023 from 1 to 2 PM at Thompson Free Will Baptist Church.

Mrs Grimes was a Real Estate Agent and a member of Thompson Free Will Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school for many years.

She is survived by her husband, Louie Grimes of Colquitt,  one son Mark Grimes of Dawson and two grandchildren Kelsea (Alan) Young and Buck Grimes both of Colquitt.  Three brothers, Billy (Jane) Roland of Colquitt, Larry (Jackie) Roland of Albany and James  (Rita) Roland of Sale City, Ga. . Brother and sister in law, Charles  (Patricia) Grimes of Colquitt.  She was preceded in death by her parents, R V and Pauline Whitaker Roland.
