Mr. Bartow Alton "Al" Bailey, II of Colquitt, GA died Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at his residence. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 7, 2024, at 11:00 AM, at Colquitt First Baptist Church with Rev. Mark Worsley, Rev. Tony Mock, John Howard Lewis, and Rev. Craig Hartzog officiating. Interment will follow at Colquitt City Cemetery with Bart Bailey, Brandon Bailey, Jim McNease, Shawn Lewis, Chris Bailey, and Matt Robinson serving as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be John Lewis and Marcus Robinson. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at Colquitt First Baptist Church.
Al was a member of Colquitt First Baptist Church, and a farmer.
He is survived by his wife, Glenda L. Bailey of Colquitt, GA; daughters, Wendy D. (Jim) Bailey of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, and April D. Wesley of Fort Smith, AR; sons, Bartow Alton (Heather) Bailey, III of Colquitt, GA, and Brandon Heath (Taylor) Bailey of Phenix City, AL; Jim (Mandy) McNease of Brinson, GA, and Shawn (April) Lewis of Adel, GA; grandchildren, Jasmine B. Campbell, Justice Wesley, Braden Alton Bailey, Charles Trace Bailey, Brice Alexander Bailey, Crantz Levi Bailey, Braelyn Ann Bailey, Paisley Reese Bailey, Maylin Harper Bailey, Willow Monroe Bailey, Nick Baxley, A.J. Baxley, John Alton Lewis, Ruger Lewis, Brantley Lewis, Kayte Anna Blayke, and Ronni McNease; great-grandchildren, Kaden Worley, Kingston Bailey, McKinley Campbell, and Mabry Lane Bailey; one sister, Kathy Bailey Robinson; and numerous nieces and nephews. Al was preceded in death by his parents, S.T. and Effie Shutes; his biological parents, Bartow Alton and Mary Kathryn Shutes Bailey, Sr; and one brother, Tommy Bailey.
