Betty Jo Tucker

     Mrs. Betty Jo Tucker of Colquitt, GA died on Thursday, January 16, 2025, at Southeast Health. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 19, 2025, at 2:30 PM, at Sheffield Funeral Chapel with Rev. Tony Mock officiating.  Interment will follow at Notchaway Baptist Church Cemetery with Travis Cleveland, Jaa Tucker, Derek McDonald, Browning Watts, Christy Ray, Danielle Gray, Wayne Cleveland and Jay Holman serving as active pallbearers.  A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, at Colquitt Funeral Home.

Mrs Tucker was a retired beautician. She was a beloved mother and grandmother. She worked many years along her older sisters side at Dorothy's Beauty Shop in Colquitt. She loved sewing and cooking. She liked reading and working in her yard with beautiful flowers. Her family was the most important thing of all to her. She was a member for many years at Mothers Home Free Will Baptist Church. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband of 72 years, Edwin Tucker of Colquitt, three daughters, Debra (Wayne) Cleveland of Baconton, Becky (Mike) McDonald of Leesburg and Tammy (Jay) Holman of Jakin, and one son, David (Beverley) Tucker of Bainbridge. Seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Two sisters, Marilyn (Sam) Josey Dunn of of Bainbridge and Carolyn Josey Glass of Daytona Beach, Fl.   She was preceded in death by her parents Homer and Mattie Josey.
