Charles W Bodrey

     Mr. Charles Bodrey of Colquitt died Friday June 30, 2023 at his home with his families love and support. Funeral services will be Monday, July 3, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Colquitt First Baptist Church with Rev. Tony Mock officiating. A private family graveside will follow at Cross Roads Cemetery in Damascus, GA. Visitation will be Monday, July 3, 2023 at Colquitt First Baptist Church from 10:00 to 11:00 AM.

     Mr. Bodrey was a retired farmer in Early County Georgia, an avid farmer always striving to make the best production of cotton, peanuts and corn. He was a member of Colquitt First Baptist church where he served as a deacon and taught Sunday school from the Married Class to the Adult Men's Class. He was very family oriented and will be greatly missed by all.

     He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Frances Bodrey of Colquitt; two sons, Russ (Ginny) Bodrey and Clay (Carrie) Bodrey both of Colquitt; and one daughter, Kim Bodrey of Colquitt; eleven grandchildren, Jennilee (T J ) Cook, Jessica (Zach) Golden,  Hayden (Bailey) Jones, Harley (Jacob) Ray, Bethany (Jameson) Burch, Becky Cobb, Betsy (Charlie) Bradford, Buck (Harlie) Bodrey, Abby Bodrey, Melanie Bodrey, Walt Bodrey; and twelve great-grandchildren. One brother, Claude (Kathy) Bodrey of Cordele; two sisters, Ann Youngblood of Byronville , GA, Sara Borum of Unadilla, Ga; and several nieces and nephews.

     He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Bodrey; mother, Frances Baker Youngblood; his son, Chuck Bodrey; and one brother Russell Bodrey.
