Mrs. Duncan was born August 23, 1928, to Grady and Mary McDaniel. If you asked her old she was, she would tell you that she was born in 1928 and tell you to figure it out. She would say, "I'm as old as my tongue but not quite as old as my teeth." Lovingly known as "Granny Coot", she never met a stranger and enjoyed life to the fullest. Loving her family and spending time with them was most precious to her. Whether she was riding the rides at the fair with the kids, picking peas in the pea patch, or attending beauty pageants, hog shows, Swamp Gravy, softball, baseball, or football games, she had a good time cheering everyone on! Enjoying fund raising for special causes, she was the top fund raiser for several years for the American Cancer Society. She attended Bellview Free Will Baptist Church faithfully and loved her church and church family. For the past several years the highlight of her week was getting her hair fixed on Friday afternoon, going to enjoy the food and fellowship at Hong Kong restaurant and returning home to watch wrestling, her all time favorite show.

She is survived by three sons, Michael Duncan of St. Simons Island, GA, Rocky (Joyce) Duncan of Donalsonville, GA, and Anthony Duncan of Colquitt, GA; three daughters, Melody Houston of Colquitt, GA, Jackie (Paul) Goodrich of Colquitt, GA, and Connie T. (Greg) Murray of Bainbridge, GA; 24 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; and seven great-great grandchildren. Mrs. Duncan was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Grover C. Duncan; one daughter, Rhonda Thompson; one grandson, Sheffield Duncan; two great grandchildren, Lilly Grace Chambers and Bo Brown; one granddaughter-in-law, Patti Medley; and three sons-in-law, Greg Houston, Terry Taylor, and Jack Nicholson.

A special than you to her eighth child, Phyllis Redding. Phyllis made Granny's days a lot brighter and happier this past year. Her kindness and love for Granny Coot will always be remembered by the family.
