Mr. Harry Jackson "Jack" Dugan, Jr. of Colquitt, GA died Sunday, May 5, 2024, at his residence. Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 9, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Colquitt First Baptist Church with Rev. Craig Hartzog and Rev. Mark Worsley officiating. Interment will follow at Gordon Cemetery with Joe Sheffield, Wallace Phillips, Vince Widner, Craig Tully, Ken Kisfalusi, and Kevin Lovering serving as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Colquitt First Baptist Church's Adult Men's Sunday School Class. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at Colquitt First Baptist Church.
Mr. Dugan retired from the US Air Force after 20 years of service. After his retirement from the military, he worked at Western Auto in Colquitt, as well as working in maintenance at Donalsonville Hospital.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Mrs. Runell Whitaker Dugan; one son, Tony Dugan of Macon, GA; one daughter, Kathy Dugan of Colquitt, GA; two granddaughters, Jennifer Dugan of Macon, GA, and Kimberly Ryckeley of Grovetown, GA; two great-granddaughters, Madison Bryant of Macon, GA, and Darcy Ryckeley of Grovetown, GA; one great-grandson, Connor Ryckeley of Grovetown, GA; one sister, Pat Ward of Jacksonville, FL; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by parents, Harry Jackson Sr and Ruth Gardner Dugan; one sister, Barbara Turlington; and daughter-in-law, Diane Hood Dugan.
In lieu of flowers, the family ask donations be made to the Colquitt First Baptist Church's Chapel Renovations fund, at 351 E Pine Street, Colquitt, GA 39837.
