Herman Watson Haire

     Mr. Herman Watson Haire of Colquitt, GA, died on Sunday, October 8, 2023, at his residence. Funeral services will be held Friday, October 13, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Sheffield Funeral Chapel with Rev. Joel Hudgins officiating. Interment will follow at Donley Cemetery with Sam Meredith, Chase Widner, Jody Dykes, Austin Dykes, Scotty Boyett and Avery Chandler serving as active pallbearers. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at Colquitt Funeral Home.

     Mr. Haire was a farmer, and was a member of Faith Baptist Church.

     He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ethel Pearl Haire of Colquitt, GA; one son, Tim (Susan) Haire of Colquitt, GA; one daughter, Carla (Kevin) Meredith of Jasper, GA; twelve grandchildren, Sam Meredith, Bailey Meredith, Timmy (Amber) Haire, Ashley (Scotty) Boyett, Ally (Matthew) Cherry, Avery Chandler, Aubree Haire, Jessica (Joey) Sexton, Big Taylor Henry, Little Taylor (Tabitha) Henry, Miranda (Tyler) Sutton, and Mackenzie (Ty) Sherrer; thirteen great-grandchildren, including Tesla and Lexie Haire, who shared a home and were cared for by "Paw Paw"; three sisters, Gail (Bobby) Glover of Donalsonville, GA, Kay (David) Miller of Bainbridge, GA, and Pat Spooner of Colquitt, GA; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Dorothy Chambless Haire; and one sister, Charlotte Teague.
