John A Lewis Jr

Mr. John A Lewis Jr.of Adel Ga., formerly of Colquitt died Saturday, February 22 2025 at his residence. Funeral services will be Monday, February 24, 2025 at 2:00PM at Sheffield Funeral Chapel with Rev. John Howard Lewis Officiating. Interment to follow at the Colquitt City Cemetery with Timothy Beal, Brantley Lewis, D.J. Hunt, Bart Bailey, Heath Bailey, and Christopher Welch serving as active pallbearers. Visitation will be Monday, February 24, 2025 from 1 to 2 PM at Colquitt Funeral Home.

Mr. Lewis was a retired carpenter and was of the Church of God faith.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda Hunt Lewis of Adel Ga., three sons, Shawn (April) Lewis of Hahira, Joshua (Madison) Lewis of Blakely, and Johnny (Gail) Temples of Ocilla Ga. Six grandchildren, Ashley Lewis, John (Kelsey) Lewis, Dakota Temples, Brantley Lewis, Ruger Lewis, Amber Sargeant, four great grandchildren,  Lorenzo, Zyla, Brynlee, and Alexandria. Two sisters, Glenda Bailey of Colquitt and Ruth Merritt of Pelham. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, John App and Nancy Lucille Lewis, one daughter Cindy Sargeant, one brother Bill Lewis, and three sisters, Wanda Stout, Margie Lewis, and Anne Hunsinger.
