Joyce Wells

     Mrs. Joyce Wells of Colquitt, GA died on Tuesday, June 13, 2023, at her residence. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 16, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Sheffield Funeral Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Waldon and Rev. Cory Thomas officiating. Interment will follow at Whites Bridge Cemetery with Wayne Wilkin, John Edward Wells, Hugh Franklin, Greg Calhoun, Gregory Calhoun, and Jeff Nunnery serving as active pallbearers. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at Colquitt Funeral Home.

     Mrs. Wells formerly worked for Thomas and Betts, and was of the Baptist Faith.

     She is survived by one son, Charles (Candace) Wells of Colquitt, GA; one daughter, Sandra (Russell) Womble of Colquitt, GA; six grandchildren, Jason Edward (Michelle) Wells, Kristi Womble, Blake (Mary) Womble, Tina Chapman, Katlin Cloud, and Lacey Cloud; thirteen great-grandchildren, Hudson Harry Wells, Maeleigh Wells, Maggie Wells, Harbor Wells, Landon Womble, Kaydence Womble, Ella Womble, Bryler Johnson, Saylor Rabon, Bella Barragan, Jonathan Barragan, Bryson Chapman, and Brodrick Wells; and one great-grandchild, Aden Wells. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Edwin Wells; one brother, Raymond Dean; and parents, Edgar and Ruthie Chambers Dean.
