Mary Wanda Cook

Mrs. Mary Wanda Cook (72) of Colquitt, GA, died Thursday, January 5, 2023, at her residence. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 10, 2023, at 3:00 PM at Sheffield Funeral Chapel with Rev. Hoyt Donley officiating. Interment will follow at Cooks Cemetery with Chance Cook, Phillip Cook, Daniel Haire, Luke Cook, William Stark, and Jake Holley serving as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Joiner, Melvin Henry, Larry Lane, NickChapman, Kyle Simmons, Raymond Musgrove, Matthew Holmes, and Jay Holmes. Visitation will be Monday, January 9, 2023, from 7:00 to 9:00 PM, at Colquitt Funeral Home.

     Mrs. Cook was a former caregiver at Miller Nursing Home.

     She is survived by two sons, Luke (Karen) Cook, and Chance (Ashley) Cook, both of Colquitt, GA; one daughter, Becky (James) Stark of Colquitt, GA; six grandchildren, Phillip (Stephanie) Cook, Todd (Macey) Cook, William (Paige) Stark, Miranda Cook and Belle Cook, three great-grandchildren, Kayden Cook, Madilyn Harrell, and Rosie Cook; one sister, Gail (Don) Funderburg of Augusta, GA; two brothers, Isaac Cox and Earl (Martha) Cox, both of Colquitt, GA; one niece, Judy Pickren; and her special friend and caretaker, Tammy Sue Musgrove. Mrs. Cook was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Dewayne Cook; and her parents, Lloyd and Ethel Cunningham Cox.
