Rev. Talmadge Worsley

     Rev. Talmadge Worsley of Colquitt, GA died Saturday, September 30, 2023, at his residence. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Colquitt First Baptist Church with Rev. Mark Worsley and Patrick Worsley officiating. Interment will follow at New Salem Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery with Russ Worsley, Larry Worsley, Andrew Worsley, Deon Foster, Tony Mock, and Andy Spooner serving as active pallbearers. Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 4, 2023, from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at Colquitt First Baptist Church.

     Rev. Worsley was a Minister and pastored at churches in both Georgia and Florida, and was a member of New Salem Free Will Baptist Church. He was also co-owner of Talway Builders.

     He is survived by two sons, Patrick (Cindy) Worsley of Donalsonville, GA, and Rev. Mark (Roxanne) Worsley of Colquitt, GA; five grandchildren, Michelle (David) Miller, Andrew (Rachel) Worsley, Amanda (Charles) Irvine, Leigh Middleton, and Lance (Morgan) Middleton; fourteen great-grandchildren; two sisters, Gertrude Roberts of Colquitt, GA, and Brenda (Walter) Mahan of Woodstock, GA; six brothers, Jimmy (Theresa) Worsley of Arlington, GA, Herman (Rise') Worsley of Delhi, LA, Henry (Linda) Worsley of Colquitt, GA, Steve Worsley of Macon, GA, Roger (Angie) Worsley of Colquitt, GA, and Wayne (Marilyn) Worsley of Monroe, LA; and numerous nieces and nephews. Rev. Worsley was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Marcia Floyd Worsley; second wife Jewell Maddox Worsley; two brothers, Douglas Worsley and Edgar Worsley; one sister, Betty Barnes; and parents, Douglas and Mamie Newberry Worsley.
