William Marvin Roberts

September 2, 1963 — August 24, 2023

Panama City, FL

William Roberts (59) passed away tragically on August 24, 2023. Willie, or Wild Bill as his friends and brothers called him, was born in Jackson, Alabama but moved to Panama City as a child. He graduated from Bay High School in 1982 and worked for many years on the fishing docks of Panama City Beach. As a lifelong fisherman, he was a friend to anyone he met and was known for his ability to make everyone around him laugh. He always saw the good in everyone and never missed an opportunity to help others or cook for his friends. He loved to visit Honduras and visit with the locals of the island and just teach the kids how to fish.

Although his life was cut short, the memories of him will continue to thrive in our hearts. He was preceded in death by his mother and step father Anne and Jack Page and his Father Melvin Roberts. He is survived by his Wife, Tracy, his daughter, Lindsey McCurley (Jesse Leight), his grandchildren, Zane and Ashlynn Leight, and his brothers, Doug (Joni) and Jimbo (Danielle) and many nieces and nephews of whom he was so proud. A celebration of life will take place Sunday, September 24 from 1-3pm at Capt Anderson’s Event Center followed by a private burial at sea. In Lieu of flowers please consider donating to his passion project and help feed the children of Honduras. His language of love was food, and he loved feeding the children.
